(Hong Kong, 28 March 2023) — Apollo Future Mobility Group Limited (“AFMG” or the “Company”, HKEX stock code: 860, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) is pleased to announce that a Shenzhen Municipal Government Delegation visited the Group’s research and development (“R&D”) centre and its hypercar base in Germany on 7 March. The two parties conducted in-depth discussions on how to jointly strengthen the future smart mobility technology and introduce research and development (“R&D”) and establishment of related technology into China. Led by Mr. Zheng Hongbo, a member of the Standing Committee of Municipal Committee of Shenzhen and a member of the Party Group of the Municipal Government, the 13-strong delegation also included leaders of the District Committee, the Municipal Office and various other official units.

Upon arrival, the delegation was introduced to the Group’s in-house R&D team, experienced engineers and management team while being enlightened on the origins of AFMG's hypercar brand, Apollo in Germany, the state-of-the-art technology of Apollo's hypercar, and AFMG's commitment and experience in promoting German automotive technology and craftsmanship to the world. At the R&D centre, the advanced manufacturing facilities, the seasoned engineering team and the outstanding performance of the hypercar products have all been well received and recognized by the delegation.

As the world's first all-carbon fiber hypercar, Apollo Intensa Emozione (“Apollo IE”) was the "star product" of the tour. Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V12 engine, the Apollo IE features 8,500RPM to deliver a respectable 780HP, a top speed of 335km/h and an acceleration time of just 2.7 seconds to 100km/h. Meanwhile, the Apollo IE is designed with numerous safety features. The uniquely designed carbon fibre chassis, monocoque cockpit, subframe and anti-crash structure make the Apollo IE safe, rigid and lightweight. The Apollo IE was also applauded by the delegation for its outstanding performance in terms of suspension, aerodynamic design, braking performance and powertrain.

The Shenzhen Municipal Government Delegation commented, “The visit to AFMG's German R&D centre is of great significance for future cooperation between the two parties. The success of the German R&D centre is an important driver for the implementation of joint project, especially AFMG's ideas and initiatives to "make use" of the German automotive technology and craftmanship and promote it globally, which will contribute to the development of smart mobility in China and the world. The Group is also committed to working with the world's leading companies to implement China’s strategic decision to develop the new energy vehicle industry and jointly strengthen Shenzhen's automotive industry.

Mr. Ho King Fung, Eric, Chairman of AFMG, commented, “This visit and exchange has laid a solid foundation for both parties to further develop broader and deeper cooperation to achieve synergy between government and enterprises for mutual benefit. As the construction of the Greater Bay Area accelerates, the Group will further expand in the region, while extending its presence in domestic and overseas markets with a firm focus on the future smart mobility industry.”
